When Georgia outdoorsman Tim Rupard learns that his loyal Labrador, Winston, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, he makes a bold declaration of faith: “God will heal my dog.” What begins as a desperate plea for a miracle soon becomes something deeper—a divine journey that reveals how healing often reaches far beyond what we expect.

Based on Rupard’s acclaimed book The Winston Story, Where the Dog Heals is a feature film currently in development with writer-director Garrett Batty (The Saratov Approach, Faith of Angels). Through the story of one man’s unwavering belief, the film explores how God meets us in our pain, restores our trust, and reminds us that no prayer is too small for His love.

Told with authenticity and warmth, the project celebrates faith in action, the strength of community, and the unexpected ways God heals hearts—sometimes through a four-legged friend.
